Castle Rock State Park is a 5,242-acre (2,121 ha) state park of California, USA, located along the crest of the Santa Cruz Mountains.  It is a land of sculpted sandstone, lush forests, and sweeping vistas, and it is a popular place for rock climbers.  We have been to the Castle Rock countless times as it is so close to our home, and we have been using a particular rock to document Linus and Iris since 2001.  Woanyu and I decided to take the Castle Rock Loop trail as an early Sunday morning exercise. It was a pleasant hike (3.9 miles with moderate up and down hill) with nice views and wildflowers at this time of year (but not much water in the waterfalls though).
