Dance is a part of who I am.
It has provided me with more than just an artistic outlet for me to express music and art (two of my original hobbies). It has given me a community of hardworking and supportive friends who share the same passion and has taught me the joy of producing a masterpiece despite the struggles and hardships along the way. I've learned invaluable experiences working in teams of various sizes with a diversity of individuals and gained countless leadership opportunities as a choreographer, instructor, and director.
Recently, I joined Studio1Dance (@studio1.dance), a K-pop cover dance group in the DMV area as a way to continue dancing with a group of friends. I'm looking forward to making my own choreography again and possibly joining a more serious dance team.
I also started my own dance account on Instagram (@lulu.dnc) as a way to encourage myself to dance for myself and to track my progress. Feel free to follow my dance journey!

I've been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. It was a creative outlet that allowed me to take my mind off the settings around me and immerse myself in a world of my own. Although my artistic background is limited to mostly Chinese calligraphy and painting, I am always finding time and paper to sketch and ease my mind.
These days, I've started a sketchbook journal to commemorate meaningful events in my life each month. With so much going on around the world and within my life, I found it important to focus on the positive moments and to be able to look back on these times with fondness.
