Sonoma County, just 40 miles/64 kilometers north of San Francisco, spans more than one million acres from the Pacific Ocean to the rugged Coast Range.  From hiking among redwoods to savoring local wines; exploring the Pacific Coast or discovering idyllic small towns, Sonoma County is an ideal weekend escape from the bustling Silicon Valley in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Getting There ...

The main purpose of our Sonoma trip is to scout a few locations for Woanyu's High school classmates' reunion next month.  We left home at about 10:30AM (after Woanyu's fitness class) and stopped by V. Sattui Winery in St Helena for a quick picnic lunch (since Woanyu's friends were considering to have a group picnic her, but we think it is too crowded for them...).

The Second Day ...

After the hike, we went to another popular restaurant, the Tides Wharf & Restaurant, for a late morning breakfast.  Since this is a scouting trip for Woanyu's classmates reunion, we had a relaxed pace and enjoyed some places not far away from home for a nice weekend escape.
