[Day 1/2] [Day 3/4/5]

The Third Day ...

• Pangkor Laut Island
  Pangkor Laut Island, located three miles off the West Coast of Malaysia in the Straits of Melaka, is often confused with Pangkor Island which is about 1.5 kilometers north west of Pangkor Laut Island. Pangkor Laut Island is a private island about 300 acres, and it is so called "One Island One Resort". Except the area developed for the resort, 80% of the island is covered by lush and unspoiled two million year old rainforest.

• From Lumut to Pangkor Laut
  It's about an hour boat ride from Lumut port to Pangkor Laut Island. It's a smooth ride and nobody had any sea sickness problem.

• Hill Villa
  We stayed in a condo at Hill Villa which has a great view of the ocean and islands. It's a small building with 4 units; just enough for our entire family. Since it sits in the forest/jungle, there were so many monkeys hanging around and they even walked on to our balcony (after we put a banana on one table ...). We had a quick tour to Spa Villa, and then went back to Hill Villa to go swimming. This time even I went into the swimming pool.

 

 

• Spa Villa / Sea Villa
  

The Fourth Day ...

• Sunrise
  It's the first time that I brought Linus along to see sunrise. Linus woke up early and the sunrise here was late (~7:45AM), so Linus and I had an easy walk to the beach where Linus could enjoy himself (so could I ).

• Water activities
  We had a boat arranged to take us to a nearby island and beach for some water activities.

• Emerald Bay
  

  We had the boat take us back to Pangkor Laut and got off at Eermald Bay (on the west side of the island). Here we had a buffet lunch right beside the beach. After lunch, Woanyu and my brother and sister-in-law went to do spa while the rest of us stayed at Emerald Bay. This time even my father went swimming!

The Last Day ...

It's a long way to come back home. We had an early boat leaving the island at 7:00AM (but it was delayed a little). Fortunately, weather and timing were so good that I got a decent sunrise shot from the boat. After the transport on the sea, it's another 5 hours bus ride to Kuala Lumpur. After a quick lunch at the airport, and then it's another 4.5 hours fly back to Taiwan.

It was so hot in Malaysia that we almost forgot it's winter when we were back to Taiwan to face the coldest weather in years. Woanyu said we may go back to Pangkor Laut for our second honeymoon (of course, no kids allowed) in the future.
