The Fifth Day ...
- Kanazawa (金澤 )
At the center of the city lies the Kenrokuen Garden (兼六園
), famous for the "Yukitsuri", ropes stretched
from the top of a tree to the lower branches like an
umbrella to protect it from snow damage in winter. It is
one of the three famous gardens of Japan, along the
Kairakuen Garden (偕樂園) in Mito, Ibaraki (茨城縣水戶市)
and Korakuen Garden (後樂園) in Okayama (岡山縣岡山市)
. The Kenrokuen Garden has an area of 105,000m². The
construction started in 1676 and completed 170 years
later.
- Osaka (大阪 )
It took about 2
hours and 30 min to take a train ( JR Hokuriku Main
Line, JR 北陸本線特快) from Kanazawa to Osaka.
We all had first class tickets at Car No.1, which has
only 3 seats for each row. We stayed at Nankai South
Tower Hotel (南海南塔 ), Namba(難波) area in
downtown Osaka for 2 nights. My parents and I tried to go
out and took a walk at night. But it was too cold for my
mother that we returned back to hotel just after crossing
the street.
